Pysanka
Pysanka is a unique Ukrainian variation of Easter eggs, decorated with traditional symbols created using wax and dyes. These beautiful eggs are made from raw eggs and are often given as ritual gifts. Pysanky can be dyed with natural pigments derived from plant extracts, or adorned with colorful paper, ribbons, or painted with acrylics.
What sets these pysanky apart is their asymmetry and departure from uniformity, characterized by a delightful blur. They are crafted with sensitivity and a chaotic yet systematic approach. Some designs evoke ancient cave paintings of our ancestors, while others transport you on a fantastical journey back to childhood. Each pysanka represents a fragment of my personality.
