Shells
“Shells” is about life by the ocean—something boundless and unexplored. It’s an object study: an exploration without altering the object itself. In research, object study refers to the examination and analysis of specific objects or artifacts within a particular context, focusing on their characteristics, interdependencies, and dynamics, almost as if they hold something sacred.
The shells are depicted realistically, revealing what they are made of: unique curves, patterns, and indentations. Even when broken, they remain symbols of resilience, reminiscent of caves in their depth. Shells represent an idealized image, yet they are tangible, something you can touch. Capturing the depth and detail was crucial, which is why a neutral background was chosen.
